Experts estimate up to a billion songbirds die during their annual migrations through North America. It is an enormous problem in bird conservation and it may have simple solutions. The Wisconsin Humane Society, based in Milwaukee, is on a mission to reduce the number of window collisions. Their solutions can save birds but also provide a means to cut energy costs.
