First broadcast in Madison, Wisconsin in 1953, The Friendly Giant was one of the earliest educational children’s shows, moving quickly from radio to TV. In this episode, Friendly the Giant (Bob Homme) reads a story called "Sad Eye the Clown, a Circus Story" by Nils Hogner to Jerome the giraffe and Rusty the rooster.
