Julian Rhee, a finalist in the 2017 Bolz Young Artist Competition, is a junior at Brookfield East High School. He began playing violin at age five and currently studies with Almita Vamos and Hye-Sun Lee at the Music Institute of Chicago. Among Julian’s First Place awards are the 2017 La Crosse Rising Stars Concerto Competition and the 2015 Milwaukee Symphony Young Artist Competition.
