The U.S. Senate added a provision this week to its version of the Republican tax reform plan, which would repeal the individual mandate--a key component of the Affordable Care Act. UW health policy expert Donna Friedsam discusses what the repeal of this mandate would mean for the insurance markets. She says implementation of the mandate helps people consider options available to them.
